Provo Lady Steelers!

For the past year, I've been playing rugby for a the Provo Lady Steelers. I started playing when the team started and it has been an amazing experience! We've been to Reno and Vegas for tournaments so far. I can't even imagine how the past year would have been without it...boring! Not to sound cheesy or anything, but it definitely has been life changing for these reasons:

1. I FREAKIN LOVE MY TEAM! I've had the opportunity to build friendships with amazing girls and build better ones with the ones I already knew. Everyone is so drama free on and off the field(fooor the most part lol) and we all get along really well. They are all like sisters to me...awww

2. I've been able to stay active and in shape. Even if were not having practices, we go hiking or go to the gym or something active. Its nice to have friends who like working out lol It makes it a lot easier!

3. And last but not least, I started dating Setareki, who has helped train us and almost a year later, were still dating(although he's now living and playing rugby in France..miss him!)and he is a one of a kind guy :) seriously, ONE OF A KIND!! :)--------------------->>

So, aside from those "life changing" factors, our team is very talented as we rarely lose a game...yes tooting my horn because it's true! haha I think of all the games we've played, we've only lost to 2 team so far: Amazons(Sacramento team) and BYU(who now wont play us booo). Its been fun putting womens rugby on the map too because a lot of the Polynesian community sees it only as a "mens" sport but since out team started, there have been many other polynesian teams that have started in the valley! How exciting!

We have a tournament coming up next weekend where we will get to play the Amazons again as well as all the new teams in Salt Lake that have popped up (Pink Panthers, Amaka, Lady Spartans, Majestics, Slugs, Lady Lions, Ruckbees..so many!) I will surely blog about the tournament too...cant wait for it!!

first journal!!

1. In a nutshell... First of all, I woke up at 12pm today...12pm! I really need to work on waking up earlier but I've never been a morning person :( I skyped with Seta, paid a $200 speeding ticket(200?I know, right! ugh) and then went to work from 3-11pm. When I got home, I worked on this blog and watched TV. Unfortunately, not very productive..The end.

2. I discovered today... my job brings out "angry Mandi" a lot more than I'd like "angry Mandi" to come out..lol. I work at a treatment center for adolescant girls and oh man do they test me. I'm pretty tolerant but these girls have THE WORST ATTITUDES! The past couple days have been especially stressful. I've been getting comments from the girls like "you need a hug", "why are you so mean?", and my personal favorite "f*** you!" haha I have been one angry person at work...Lots of negativity amongst those girls and I hate that it gets to me sometimes. In my defense, I get really irritable a certain "time of month" which happens to be now haha

3. Something that made me laugh... I talked to Seta on skype! He made some dry jokes that were not funny, yet, I laughed. Does that mean my sense of humor is dry?? Noooo c'mon now. I think I was laughing more at how dumb the jokes were! haha malo Seta!

4. A good deed... I picked up a shift for my co-worker which I consider a very good deed since it seems like my co workers are so stingy in helping me or anyone else cover shifts! geez

5. Physical activity... well I walked up and down and up and down the stairs at work and up and down and up and down halls there too. At least I did something, right? Tomorrow I'll do more for suuure!

Welp, there it is, my first day. It was actually fun thinking of and remembering my day as dull as it was...Tomorrow I think I'll be more conscious of the things I need to write ;) It is 3am so gooood nighty!

Introduction

Alooooha! This is my attempt to keep better track of my everyday life. There are so many things that I wish I would have written down from the past. I never realize how important the little things in my days are until they're a vague memory. The little things always build up to bigger and better things :)

I've been wanting to blog for a while now but just didnt know where to start. I think having specific things assigned to write about will help me get going and stay positive about what I write about! I'm hoping the structure of what I'm assigning myself to write about will also help me remember to do those things in my day...works hand in hand :) Well anyway, blah blah blaaaah....
